Maria Odom, the fourth Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) Ombudsman will be introduced by the very first CIS Ombudsman, Prakash Khatri. The CIS Ombudsman a very senior position, equivalent to the USCIS Director, each reporting directly to the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. The CIS Ombudsman's office is an independent office, not a part of USCIS. The Ombudsman plays an important, independent role in ensuring that USCIS is responsive to its customers. The office provides expert case assistance to the public and monitors trends that reflect the existence and emergence of serious and pervasive issues within the USCIS. They formulate recommendations to USCIS - both formally and informally - to resolve those problems, and reports to Congress on areas where the USCIS still needs to improve. Ombudsman Odom will share timely information about many of the problems faced by employment based immigrants and non-immigrants and their employers in processing petitions and applications with USCIS and how the office of the CIS Ombudsman can help to resolve problems faced by them. All questions for her can be provided in writing prior to or at the session

Embrace a System to Outperform.
Has your sales success become overly dependent on external factors like newer product, lower price, or stronger brand presence than the competition in order to win? Driving maximum performance might only require a simple fine-tuning of your sales process or it could call for a more strategic retooling.

My session is titled "People: The Foundation for a Growing Business" and description is: As they say in the real estate business the three most important words are "location, location and location". For most companies engaged in our industry the three most important words may very well be "people, people and people". That is, if you aspire to grow your company, you need to focus on getting really good at hiring people, onboarding & training people, coaching & motivating people, developing leadership & teamwork, having effective accountability systems that drive results as well as promptly loosing people that are not making it. This session will touch on all of these aspects of "people" and promises to provide good concepts for participants to consider implementing in their company

On the mountains, successful expedition leaders think like guides, not climbers. In the business world, the most successful leaders think like CEOs. They inspire and lead by example. Susan is an expert practitioner in the art of sales leadership. Throughout her career, she has excelled at building and leading teams that achieve exceptional, sometimes life-changing results. In this inspiring presentation, Susan shares the Project - Prepare - Persevere methodology that enabled her to lead her sales team to achieve a seemingly impossible $300M revenue goal while simultaneously climbing the Seven Summits; the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. Drawing on her knowledge and experience, Susan shows why the best leaders are much more than top performers themselves. They enable every member of their team to overcome their perceived limitations by learning to commit to their team's shared vision of success. Attendees will walk away with the leadership skills they need to help their teams win the recognition and rewards that accrue to top performers.
